Who we are

Locally Visible ("we", "us", "our") is operated from Burlington, Ontario, Canada. We provide AI search visibility services for Canadian local businesses. Our website is locallyvisible.ca. You can reach us at hello@locallyvisible.ca.

What data we collect

When you join our waitlist, we collect:

• Email address — to communicate with you about our service and founding member access
• Survey responses — business type, province, marketing spend range, ChatGPT familiarity, and price expectations (all optional, all multiple-choice)
• UTM parameters — how you found us (e.g., which ad or social post you clicked)
• Page URL and referrer — the page you were on when you signed up

We do not collect your name, phone number, physical address, payment information, or any other personal information at the waitlist stage.

How we use your data

• To send you our waitlist email sequence (3 emails over 5 days, then silence until we launch)
• To notify you when founding member access opens
• To understand which types of businesses are interested (aggregate analysis of survey responses)
• To measure how people find our website (analytics)

We will never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Where your data is stored

Your data is stored in two places:

• Supabase (database) — hosted in Canada Central (ca-central-1). Your signup data stays in Canada.
• Loops (email automation) — used to send the welcome email sequence. Loops processes your email address to deliver emails on our behalf.

We do not store your data on any other platforms. We do not use your data for AI model training.

Analytics and tracking

We use the following analytics tools:

• Google Analytics 4 — to understand how visitors interact with our website (page views, scroll depth, conversions). Google Analytics uses cookies. You can opt out using Google's browser opt-out plugin.
• Meta Pixel (when active) — to measure ad performance if we run Facebook or Instagram ads. You can manage your Meta ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences.

These tools collect anonymized usage data. They do not have access to your email address or survey responses.

Cookies

Our website uses cookies from Google Analytics and (when active) Meta Pixel. These are third-party analytics cookies used to understand traffic patterns. We do not use cookies for advertising targeting on our own site.

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. The waitlist signup form works without cookies enabled.

Your rights under PIPEDA

As a Canadian resident, you have the following rights under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA):

• Access — you can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Correction — you can ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Deletion — you can ask us to delete your information entirely
• Withdrawal of consent — you can unsubscribe from emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing us directly

Quebec residents (Law 25)

If you are a Quebec resident, you have additional rights under Quebec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), including the right to data portability and the right to be informed of automated decision-making. We do not use automated decision-making on personal data. For data portability requests, contact us at hello@locallyvisible.ca.

Data retention

We retain your waitlist signup data for as long as you remain on the waitlist or are an active customer. If you request deletion, we will remove your data from both Supabase and Loops within 7 business days.

Children's privacy

Our service is designed for business owners and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on our website. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when the policy was last revised.
